we have lived here, this house for 7 years.
we feed the wild birds, but also we feed the wild foxes.
wild yes until recently, its a baby from the last litter, he is so tame, im a little worried incase he goes to an angry farmers door.
this little one weve called him Wellington, because he has black legs and looks like his wearing wellie boots. he is so cute, sits just outside and looks right at us,he is just like a pet dog.
we also havean old regular, we named him Basil ,he has a long white bushy tail, just like Basil Brush,uk kids puppet character.
sometimes there can be between 5 and 10 waiting to be fed. _________________ js

yes they are still wild, i think i didnt explain properly.
its seems they are becoming tame, and im not sure what to do about that. we enjoy being near to them but like i say , i worry that they may go up to an angry farmer's door one day and it could be their last day.
they do run from us, well sort of, its a little trot , they are just about keeping their distance.
but yes still wild (just). _________________ js

Sadly wild animals its the same all over the world some are so cute but we must resist the temptation to feed them or show any affection cause although you and I have a deep love for all things wild there are many others (humans) that have a deep sadistic streak and would take advantage of these poor animals especially if they can gain their trust...I feel happier when a wild animal ..no matter how beautiful either runs away or shows agression even to me....this tells me he's(she's) got mans number and his(her) days arent limited on this earth _________________ Antipodi

i know what your saying, but the way i look at it is that they could die any day, roadkill, snares or infected cuts. i feel im doing them a service in the fact that if they do die , they dont die hungry. another reason is to keep them near, so they dont have to wander far, crossing roads maybe straying on to farms to find food.
they do keep a little distance between us, and i will keep it that way because i agree they can not be completely tame to survive in the wild. _________________ js
