A tiny piece of pet advice.. Reply with quote
i bought a kitten for my mum some years ago ( her other cat died at 18 )
she dint accept him straight away being to upset. and if she hadnt i would have ended up with him, that was fine if i did. something i had considered.

but although we bought a pedigree kitten, he had been fed with adult food, it has ruined his breath. well also he has cystitus and has been on a special diet for years, which costs a bit more. and he has a heart mumur.

his a lovely cat, but has many problems.

my advice would be to , if your not expert then maybe ask someone who is to look at your new pet to be. or take them to the vet as soon as you can to get checked over.

Absolutel many Pet shops are not the best place to bu pets and even some so called breeders need to be checked ...It is good advice to have the animal checked through the vet to ensdure good health or another way is form a friendship with a good breeder of your favour animals and help others with that descision by recommending them...

Jan, bless his heart. Yeah, I will bring the kitty to the vet right away! I don't want them to suffer. It breaks my heart seeing a cat or a dog in distress Sad

aww so you have a new kitty ?

i must point out about the 2nd or even 3rd opinion tho.
so many times over the years our vets have been wrong, not just one vet , but 2 and on one occassion 3 vets (all wrong) !

if you are ever given very bad news from your vet , please seek a 2nd or even a 3rd vet opinion as it may even save your pets life.
