Hi, at this time of year many people buy a piggie (or other animal) as a present.
It cant be said often enough, that a pet is for life - not just for Christmas. Please pass this message on to those who maybe about to make a thoughtless purchase.
It they are still sincere, it well worth going the the RSPCA or other animal chelter to rescue a homeless animal and give them a second chance in life. It will also teach your children compassion and responsibility.
Hopefully it will also deplete the need for pet shops and breeders.
Just a thought ...

This is soooo right Piggies are beautiful but they need lots a love and muchous attention ...so really be careful to make sure you or the loved one you are getting piggy for will commit to that kind of relationship ...if you can that is great...also can I add ...it might be worth while contacting a rescue centre ...as there are a lot of very loving orphans who would love a home with someone who is prepared to look after them....
