love your photos Anti
my kids done karate too for many years, my daughter reached black belt and my son brown with black stripe (nearly black). then came along boyfreind and girlfreind and unfortunately they both gave up going, along with piano lessons etc.
shame realy as where ever you go in life, there is always one who causes trouble, and i think my son may have regretted giving up on karate. _________________ js

My son is just getting to that age ..so far he hasnt given up his music cause he wants to form a rock band and play guitar as well as basson (something different) ..hes been playing basson for two years and his teacher says he's a natural...he ma end up joining a symphony orchestra ..they can earn big money and travel around the world...I hope he keep it up ..it would be a great direction for a career path..and he does have a real feel for music..

thats good, i hope he sticks at it and the karate (thats very important) never know when you may need it.
our piano teacher said the same bout my son that he had some talent, its unfortunate he met the girl he did, she has tied him down, we all feel he hasnt lived yet. she also isnt a nice person and keeps him from us.
first we fell out with our daughter , she was nearly 18. she'll be 24 this year, we havent seen or heard form her in 6 years. and now our son is going the same way, or it seems that he is.
i hope you have better luck with your family than we have.
Cavyman is an enterprising young man and im sure he will do well. _________________ js

I think this is just their way of showing independence ..sadly we all fly the nest after awhile but many then return...I have to admit though I love the way some southern european families stick together have sons , daughters and and even grandma living in the one house ..they seem so close..it sometimes makes me jealous in a soft way...I think many of the major western countries have taught their children maybe too much independence and this has lead to the degredation of society and values...sadly ..I remember my parents have big parties with all the rellies comming over and excited children everywhere...we were always visiting each other..but sadly today ..It doesnt seem to happen...I will see if I can find a poem I wrote about my early life on the farm..it was a magic time for me ..in thise days no stereo and tv..but mystery in the woods and lots of people visiting us regulaly

yes i feel that respect has been lost.
we did everything possible to keep them safe and offer them a good future, and in return we dont even get a phonecall.
only time we hear from our son(by email) is when he wants something .
as for our daughter, all we do is hope she is ok. she wasnt too independant and wasnt ready for the big world.
their nan lives in part of the house (the annex). she has always been there for them, very attentive towards them. shes ill and 74 this year.its been heart wrenching for her losing one and the other seems to be following suit.
well i look forward to your poem _________________ js
