my cat always attacks me as im walking, i know his playing but, 1. it makes me jump and 2. his claws are sharp. my other cat is so much more gentle, his claws never out, he only ever just taps me.
does anyone know how i can stop him doing this ? _________________ js

he may have had a bad experience when he was young before you got him which could affected his attitude ....Sadly in all animals there is always one that has a bit of a temeper the are so diverisfied in charachter ..Maybe somebody here who loves cats has some answer or comment they can make ...

That probably means he had to fight for everything ...I suppose lots of love and affection can only help..sadly sometimes we cant change behaviour that is acquire from bad experience but we can modify it by showing the animal they have nothing but love from their owner >>>I remember seeing a show on TV about a lady animal whisperer I will see if I can find out if she has a website and I will get back to you cause I think she lives in the UK..

Dear Js I have found this article and posted it on another thread because of its size and it covers more than just your problem as well as some suggestions that might help as a matter of fact I found myself feeling some of this may apply to dogs as well...Let me know if the info helps..

its strange but when i show him lots of attention, he seems worse.

Sounds a bit like a showing of some kind of emotion...trying to tell you something ..or frustration ...moodyness..maybe..

yes moody could be , he does that then soon after his like a maniac running all over the house, he goes like a 100ph.
but i must admit his meows 2 days ago sounded more angry than usual. _________________ js
