Friday August 4th ...2006
Welcome fellow travellers to our first diary entry and we are just over six months old ..yipee...We had a bit of a no start at one stage being on another forum provider but now we are off and running.....
Sadley one of the matriachs of our family of Piggies Skeeta passed away today she will be sadly missed....

Did you know that August 1 in Australia is the Horses Birthday?
  
Yes indeed the racing industry decided along time ago that all horses born in any year have their offical Birthday ...so happy belated birthday....
We have lots more things instore for you all so watch this space and also let us know in this thread about specific annual events that happen on specific days relating to animals..ie dog shows ..Cavy shows...cat shows...horse shows..animal shows...we hope to hear from some Ausssies out there....
I would like to start off this thread by thanking all the Mods and Speciaists for their help and input over the last six months ..It has been much appreciated and very valuable....
I must away and write some articles for CavySanctuary so ...watch this space for updates..... Remember we cant survive without your input...

Today (Sunday 3rd September)was cavy Wash day..six piggies got a shampoo and a wash and a complete hutch cleanout ..boy was that fun...I have some pictures of Broz I will post ..he hid in the straw but yah can see his cheeky face as he peeked out....
More to be done in the next day...
I cant believe it its Spring and summer will soon be here sadly we havent had much rain and the reservoirs are at about 47% which means water restrictions...I wish the government would do more about global warming which is becomming more and more obvious each day...
Watched a documentary on the Monkeys of Japan..It was wonderful and the baby monkeys were drinking out of baby bottles they were so cute... I must look this up for a further article....
A very sad thing happened today...4 Llamas were attacked and killed on a Llama farm by roving pack dogs someone has been irresponsible and allowed this to happen...Those beautiful animals...I will keep yah informed as to if they catch the culprits ..I hope they do...
Soon will be the Melbourne Show ..I must look up which days the Cav Clubs will be showing and post the Info here...If anbody reads this and knows be sure to post it here as a reply ...
Next Thursday we are possibly getting a new CPU so hopefully things will get better with easier faster access...

Hi everybody , due to lots a traumas I have been offair lately, however good news , I have just upgraded my sytem to Broadband and wow is it fast and much more secure.Hopefully we can now get this site up and running into a wonderful and enjoyable site. Not much piggy news at present all our babies are fine and healthy even Chocolatedrop our oldest(8years) is very fiesty...Soon it will be november and three events will be on us ...Firstly my ladies birthday (14th) and our wedding anniversary(1975)(15th) and also the Melbourne Cup (1st Tuesday Nov). Australia is just starting to suffer very strict water restrictions (due to global warming) let us hope this is not a a portent to worse things to come, many farm animals are suffering and and much water hoarding is going on with multuinationals who have the goverenment protecting them, I hope this changes but when you have money and power...
