The Little ones of Earth
Have you ever watched a mother as she gives her children birth
Such a wonderful thing she gives us, the little ones of Earth
Babies cute and cuddly, some only a mother could love
But all are so very special, those little gifts from life above
The tiny dormouse babies sleep with mothers warm
Beavers in their dam homes, dry and hairless forms
Squirrels in the treetops, Sheltered safely in their hole
Tiny forms with furry tails cuddle mum as she keeps them from the cold
Graceful horses in the field with tiny foals beside
Tigers in the long, long grass, their beautiful children hide
The Himalayan Bear and cubs , she’s begging her in pain
Ducks and little fluffy ducklings .. a shower of leaden rain
The deer that grace the forest, dotted babies soft
Yet men with guns just shoot, maim and kill
A great way to get their stupid ego thrill
But who cares for their babies when mothers blood they spill.
Beautiful baby seals their fur is white and pale
Then many get clubbed to death, just to adorn someone’s tail
O cry for the little ones who have no defense from us
But many here who read this will ask just why the fuss
How fragile are the little ones that carry on this life
We must look after all in nature to save this world from strife
It is no accident that Nature made the little ones so cute
She gave so many a special appeal in all their birthday suits
Her plan was to appeal to all of us to protect them from extinction
And always want them with us, so pleasing to the eye
So now I ask the question ...please tell me why O why
So many for our benefit and greed, have to suffer and surely die..

Thankyou Juliemarie that is why I really hope this website works ...it would be great to lots and lots of like minded people in the one place discussing and talking about the worlds most precious asset its animals..
